I have a date picked for the party, and I know that most definitely at least *counts* 8 will be there. My friend is hinting that it should be a birthday party. Uhhh.. not planning on that, but then again why not. We shall see. I am getting rather excited for this. My first party in the new place. My boss is coming. OMG! Susan was like saying how she would feel weird if he was there but I’m like.. I can’t exclude him, he’s the one that pretty much put the idea into my head. But he asked about bringing his kids… I kinda don’t want kids there…. I don’t want to have to worry about kids and I don’t have things to keep them entertained.. I was thinking adults only. So my friend, Erin gave me a few suggestions as to what to include on the invitations so I shall try that. A few people have come to me and asked what they can bring. I don’t know yet but the people who know so far have made it clear that they definitely want to bring stuff. This party is actually going to happen *grin* I have an extended lunch break tomorrow (90 minutes) because I worked over yesterday, so I’m gonna get invitations and fill them out tomorrow night, to pass out on Friday. That gives everyone over a month to be prepared.. and if they rsvp by the end of the month then I can totally plan how much of whatever I need for everything. Yay

Hmm… I’m moving on… I miss her….but…. I am moving on….. *grin*

Oh yeah…. After my oh so amazing co-workers presented me with gifts which included the most adorable plate/bowl/cup set that my friend Erin picked out, as well as two very nice Visa gift cards and a card signed by my entire department, I’ve decided that I am going to have a party. My co-workers think I should totally have a housewarming, but I don’t know if I’ll call it that. They already gave me more than I ever expected. I just think it would be fun to have a few people over and break this place in! I’m not sure when I’ll have the party. Probably not until after the first of the month. My futon won’t be delivered until the first or second week of July, so I’m thinking maybe mid-July. Perhaps the weekend before my birthday, since I won’t be doing anything for the bday anyway. Blah 30 blah blah blah. I might as well try to plan something fun. I already know that at least 4 or 5 people would definitely show up, I’m not sure about the rest. This is definitely going to be something I plan tho. It’s major motivation to get this place set up! I’m going shopping either this weekend or w/in the next few weekends to hit some sales and find some things for the place. The gift cards are TOTALLY helping me with that. Well one is paying for my groceries right now. Thank goodness for that. This being poor, so poor that I can’t even afford a cup of coffee deal is well.. depressing. Huge weights off of my shoulders for now, even though I won’t be able to do everything I want to do financially, for a long time. Anywho I am gonna have a party!! If you guys lived closer you would so be invited too.. Boo… move closer! :-p
